Pump with direct hydraulic motor drive
This application is frequently used to drive the hydraulic motor via the PTO of trucks and self-propelled vehicles for spreading liquid manure, offering the following advantages:
- Stepless control: The speed and output of the positive displacement pump can be precisely controlled via the oil flow.
- Flexible mounting: The positive displacement pump can be mounted anywhere on the chassis, independent of a mechanical driveshaft.
- Weight savings: No heavy, separate auxiliary engine is required on the truck or self-propelled vehicle.
Pump with one output shaft
The output shaft can be positioned at either the top or the bottom of the positive displacement pump, depending on requirements.
This configuration is frequently used in applications where a PTO drive is not feasible.
Various adapters or couplings can be fitted to the smooth output shaft to achieve the desired drive setup.
- Cardan drive: In many cases, the drive is powered by the tractor’s PTO, with the rotational speed determined by the PTO speed.
- Electric drive: The drive is provided by an electric motor aligned with the pump, often connected via a flexible coupling.
Pump with two output shafts
For this application, a PTO drive powered by a tractor is often chosen to transfer manure using a standalone unit, such as a pump mounted on a three-point linkage frame.
The pumping direction can be reversed by moving the drive shaft from the lower shaft to the upper shaft.
Various adapters or couplings can be fitted to the smooth output shafts to achieve the desired drive configuration.
