Benedict® – bpf lightweight rotary lobe pump.
The BENEDICT-BPF lightweight rotary lobe pump is a high-quality positive displacement pump that can compete on every level with comparable positive displacement pumps from other brands. With more than 25 years of experience in positive displacement pump components, Benedict has been able to identify the strengths and weaknesses of comparable positive displacement pumps. Drawing on this experience, Benedict has combined these strengths into its own BENEDICT-BPF pump, featuring a highly compact design and a low weight!
Among other things, this has also led to:
A lightweight pump weighing 207 kg with a capacity of 6.5 m³/min at a maximum of 600 rpm.
By making the pump as compact as possible and partly from an aluminum housing, this has led to a weight saving of up to 30% to 40% on comparable pumps with a fully cast iron housing.
To maintain the strength of the pump chamber, the pump shells are made of cast steel and can of course be covered with wear plates as desired.
Complete pump room cover cladding.
To maintain the full strength of the pump chamber, it is equipped with cast iron shells and a steel frame on the lid side.
Of course, the entire pump room is lined with wear plates, which can be made in a manganese steel or stainless steel quality according to the customer’s wishes.
Rapid change of the lobes.
Because the lobes consists of a whole, an aluminum core part that is coated with rubber all around, they can be completely removed from the pump and also completely reassembled in the pump with specially developed tools.
This makes it possible to change the displacers within 15 minutes.
Lubrication of the mechanical seals.
There are 4 grease nipples on the pump, two for the upper shaft and two for the lower shaft, this makes it possible to lubricate the space around the mechanical seals.
By doing this regularly, the contamination that accumulates behind the lobes and possibly in the space around the mechanical seals it’s pushed back into the pump chamber, which is a preservation for the mechanical seal to remain closed, which guarantees a longer service life.
WHY A BENEDICT®-BPF LOBE PUMP?
Weight
Low pump weight.
Change
Quick change of the lobes.
Lubricate
Lubricating the area around the mechanical seals.
Questions about a Benedict® – BPF rotary lobe pump.
In the first place, Benedict wants to be able to offer its customers a self-developed rotary lobe pump that has a high reliability and can compete with similar brands in the market!
Because Benedict-THO B.V. has been making and selling parts for renowned rotary lobe pumps for more than 25 years, we can confidently say that we have a lot of experience in this.
By having all components of the rotary lobe pump made in-house and assembling the pump ourselves, we are no longer dependent on third parties to be able to offer a complete rotary lobe pump.
The BPF 175-240 rotary lobe pump is a lightweight pump in the market segment, this has been achieved by building the pump as compact as possible and partly made of aluminium.
Our experience is that the current rotary lobe pumps, which are mainly built of cast iron and have an increasing capacity, also increase enormously in weight as a result.
Due to the high weight of these rotary lobe pumps, it is not easy to work on these types of rotary lobe pumps alone and in particular replacing the rotary lobes is almost impossible to do.
By building a lightweight rotary lobe pump on self-propelled machines and trucks, this reduces the total weight of the combination so that they have less fuel and wear costs.
The type of Benedict BPF 175-240 rotary lobe pump is therefore 30 to 40% lighter than comparable rotary lobe pumps built from cast iron!
